Ten pairs teams from Brentwood Bowling Club competed in the annual competition for the Ted Hasler Trophy on Sunday 25th May.
Each team played a total of 34 ends over four games and after a full day’s bowling just one point separated winners Kath Jolly and Geoff Byatt from runners-up Daphne Gilbert and Ron Jolly.
The announcement of results was made in the club pavilion by men’s captain Richard Rose who said: “It turned out to be a very good day.”
Ted Hasler was president of the club from 1977 – 1982 and the eponymous trophy was first played for in 1985.
This year’s winners will receive their award at the club presentation night on Saturday 8th November.
