Captain-for-the-day Trevor Pedley welcomed members of Stock and Buttsbury BC to Brentwood for the annual friendly on Thursday 6th July when conditions were perfect, warm with a cooling breeze and no sign of the threatened showers.
There was plenty of excitement as 24 teams battled for big cash prizes in the annual men’s invitation triples competition hosted by Brentwood Bowling Club on Sunday 2nd July.
Brentwood have won the challenge trophy after the second leg of an annual mixed triples competition against players from Central Essex Bowling Club who share the facilities at King George’s Playing Fields.
Members of the men’s section are invited to add their names to the entry list for the Jubilee Trophy competition on Sunday 9th July.
Brentwood’s hopes in the National Club Two Fours competition were dashed by Romford on Sunday 18th June.
Brentwood are two shots down after the first leg of the annual Centenary Plate competition against Southend-based Essex County on Sunday 18th June.
Brentwood have soundly beaten Billericay 97 – 53 in the first round of the Roger Burton Trophy with victories in all their games.
Seven clubs belonging to the Brentwood and District Bowling Association took part in the 2017 Arthur Bennett Memorial Trophy at King George’s Playing Fields on Sunday 11th June.
