Two shots decide derby

Just two shots decided the result of this year’s annual mixed triples derby between Brentwood Bowling Club and Central Essex Bowling Club which concluded at their shared home in King George’s Playing Fields on Wednesday 1st August 2018.

In the first leg on 28th June, trophy holders Brentwood won 94 – 83 to become favourites to lift the silverware again but in the second leg, the tables were turned and Central Essex won 93 – 80, giving an overall score of 176 – 174.

Two of Brentwood’s five teams had wins in the latest game, with skip Maureen Murrell’s partnering with Keith Howson and James Nolan ending the afternoon as top rink with a shot difference of 10.
