Squad set for Burton semi

Brentwood Bowling Club men’s squad are through to the semi-final of this year’s BDBA Roger Burton Trophy after beating Harold Hill 100 – 68 on Saturday 30th June.

Competing clubs fielded four teams – singles, pairs, triples and rinks – with two teams at home and two away.

On Saturday, Paul Topley played the singles; John Howard and Geoff Byatt were in the pairs; Rob Funnell, Dave Coward and Richard Rose made up the triple; and Ted Vidler, Trevor Pedley, Fred Wasmuth and Keith Newberry won the rinks with a superb 24-shot lead.

Brentwood will play Gidea Park in the semis on Tuesday 17th July at 6pm. The final will be played at played at Brentwood on Saturday 18th August.
