Seven clubs belonging to the Brentwood and District Bowling Association took part in the 2017 Arthur Bennett Memorial Trophy at King George’s Playing Fields on Sunday 11th June.
Clubs entered a ladies’ team and a men’s team, each playing six five-end games throughout the day.
Brentwood supported the event by entering two teams, and providing volunteers to ensure the event ran smoothly.
Lunch was provided by sponsors Brentwood-based funeral directors Bennetts whose representative Alida Horne presented awards to winners.
The main trophy was awarded to Kings Chase with Upminster in second place and Ingatestone third.
The event raised £125 for the Havering and Brentwood Bereavement Service.
