Five triples teams from Brentwood Bowling Club took part in the return leg of the annual Centenary Plate competition against Southend-based Essex County on Sunday 16th August.
Brentwood were the underdogs, being nine shots down at the outset and their opponents capitalised on home advantage to increase their lead to 21.

Essex County outdoor vice-captain Steve Roper welcomed players to Southend and Brentwood president Byron Davies responded saying: “We have had a very enjoyable game today.”
He presented prizes to players on Brentwood’s top-scoring rink – Daphne Gilbert, Pam Baker and skip Geoff Byatt who secured a 14-shot lead.
