Brentwood Bowls Club has regained the Jim Philpot Memorial Trophy in the annual competition against neighbours Kings Chase who have been custodians of the coveted award for the past four years.
Brentwood were 12 shots up going into the second leg of the two-game contest on Saturday 24th August when they finished eight shots ahead overall.
At a post-game lunch, players were welcomed by Kings Chase acting captain Rob Fleming who presented the trophy to Brentwood captain Richard Rose.
Richard said it was always a pleasure to visit Kings Chase .. and it was an even greater pleasure to visit the club and win the trophy. He added: “Let’s hope we have a drier game when we play next season.”
The Jim Philpot Trophy has now been won eight times by Kings Chase and seven times by Brentwood.
