Brentwood Bowling Club’s A team are through to the next round of the county triples competition for the Morton Trophy after firmly defeating neighbouring Kings Chase in the quarter-finals.
The match was played one rink at home and one away on Saturday 13th July when Brentwood finsished the day 13 shots ahead of their rivals with the total scores 41 – 28.
Although Brentwood’s away team went three shots down, the home squad achieved a 16-shot lead, securing overall victory with a magnificent seven on the last end.
Brentwood A are current holders of the Morton Trophy after beating Gidea Park in last year’s final of the Essex County Bowling Association Group IV competition for unbadged players. Brentwood A will now meet Clockhouse A in the next round.
