Centenary Plate competition

Brentwood Bowling Club are 11 shots down after the first leg of the Centenary Plate competition played at home on Sunday 16th June against Essex County. Four rinks of triples were in play for the friendly and the visitors won on three.

Club captain Richard Rose welcomed the visitors, thanked Brentwood volunteers Kate Davies, Margaret Rayment and Ann Betts for serving the post-match tea, and presented chocolate bars to his winning rink – Patrick Miller, Kath Jolly and skip Ron Lofts.

He said Brentwood was looking forward to visiting Essex County on 1st September for the final leg of the annual competition.
